Acupuncture Treatment

Integrated acupuncture care combining Traditional Chinese Medicine, modern clinical reasoning and rehabilitation principles to support pain relief, recovery, mobility and long-term wellbeing.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a core therapy within Traditional Chinese Medicine that uses fine, sterile needles at selected points to influence the body's nervous system, circulation, muscle tone and natural recovery processes.

At Meditree, acupuncture is delivered as a personalised medical-clinic treatment rather than a one-size-fits-all protocol. Your practitioner considers your symptoms, constitution, injury history, movement patterns and recovery goals.

Treatment Methods We May Use

Cupping therapy, moxibustion and electro acupuncture are included as part of acupuncture care when clinically appropriate.

Balance Acupuncture

A structured acupuncture approach often used for pain and functional concerns, selecting points based on channel relationships and whole-body balance.

Zhu's Scalp Acupuncture

A specialised scalp acupuncture method used to support neurological, movement and rehabilitation goals as part of an integrated treatment plan.

Electro Acupuncture

Gentle electrical stimulation may be applied to selected needles to support pain modulation, muscle activation and recovery where clinically appropriate.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping may be incorporated into acupuncture care to support circulation, ease muscle tension and assist recovery from overuse or soft-tissue tightness.

Moxibustion

A warming therapy used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to support circulation, comfort and vitality when suited to the patient's presentation.

Rehabilitation-Focused Approach

Treatment can be integrated with movement advice, recovery planning and physiotherapy principles to support mobility, function and long-term wellbeing.

Treatment Process

  1. 1

Initial discussion of symptoms, health history, goals and relevant ACC or medical information.

  2. 2

Traditional Chinese Medicine assessment alongside modern clinical reasoning and movement observation where relevant.

  3. 3

Personalised treatment using acupuncture and supportive therapies such as cupping, moxibustion or electro acupuncture when appropriate.

  4. 4

Clear aftercare guidance and review of progress so your plan can adapt as symptoms and function improve.

Safety & Sterile Needle Policy

Meditree uses sterile, single-use acupuncture needles only. Needles are never reused and are disposed of safely after treatment.

Treatments are provided by qualified practitioners with attention to hygiene, patient comfort, clear communication and appropriate clinical screening.

If acupuncture is not suitable for your presentation, your practitioner will discuss other care options or referral pathways where needed.
